BETWEEN TWO SPACES

// senior BFA thesis

[Dimensions: 5 x 8 inches]

Between Two Spaces is a book discussing how I navigate two drastically different cultures as a conflict-avoidant person. It is also a documentation of my growth in a dysfunctional immigrant family system. I wanted to create a space of healing where other Egyptian-Americans like me could feel heard.

Design Question: How can I talk about my experience of being torn between Egyptian and American culture? How can I create a publication that brings people with similar experiences together and helps them feel heard?
